I dont know whether your competent in electrics so be careful were main electricity is concerned.
But as said if mains is getting to the fridge terminal on hook-up then then usually the electric element has gone there not that dear to replace and can be easily tested to see if it has actually gone but you need to use a multimeter.
If there elements ok then the thermostat is suspect which again can be replaced.
Id carry on using it on Gas for now and put it on the list for the winter when you can take the fridge out and have time to sort it, you not causing any more damage.
Dont buy another one yet and they are nothing like £600 to buy anyway.
