Hi - we've got a couple of larger items kicking around in the back of the van hat I'd like to stow somewhere when travelling - notably folding chairs and a table for sitting outdoors. I thought about attaching a bike rack to the back of the van, and either securing them directly to that, or putting them in a storage box on the bike rack.

I don't want the type of rack that attaches to the tow bar because we want to be able to open the two swing-out rear doors of the van easily. Also, I'd rather not drill holes in the doors for fixing. I've heard that you can get racks that hook on to the top and sides of the door. This seems to be the best option for me - no drilling, and I don't have to remove the rack before opening the doors.

Does anyone know who manufactures these for a Talbot? Thanks.

your not wrong but sometimes its better to let peeps do a little work for themselves instead of handing everything on a plate

fiamma and omnistor were the first ones I tried before asking for a little advice (I don't need anything handed to me on a plate!). Unfortunately, from what I can tell from the sparse information on their site, the only rack they do suitable for a Talbot is the 200D and you need to attach this to the doors rather than hook them on. Even then, Fiamma don't specifically list the 200D as suitable for a Talbot (I found this out by searching before posting). I was hoping that someone with a Talbot had come across this problem already and could pass on the info.

We have an old Talbot Rambler and are looking for exactly the same thing.
Don't seem to be having any joy with searching though.
We were thinking of trying to get one mase to fit the purpose !!
