Hi Rogue Camper
As a fellow Swift owner I am happy to help you the best I can. To acess the leisure battery (which on my Kontiki is under the passenger seat) first remove the 2 Torx (size 40) then slide the seat forward and remove the 2 similar Torx screws at the back. I would suggest you get someone to help lift and manovere the seat out the door as it is quite heavy and cumbersome.
With regards to the fridge:-
With the red switch in the on position (pushed in at the top) the fridge should operate when the vehicle engine is running. It will draw current direct fom the vehicle battery and is not thermostactically controled.
Green switch in the on position and the fridge will operate on mains and is thermostatically controled by the adjustment control adjacent to the red and green switches.
To operate on gas first turn on the orange switch (a ticking noise should now be heard from the igniter) then switch on the gas to the fridge using the rotary control next to the orange switch and at the same time keep the switch pushed in. When the ticking stops continues to hold the gas valve knob in for a further 15 seconds, when releasing the gas knob the orange switch should be left on but should not be iluminated. The fridge is now lit and is thermostatically controled by the control adjacent to the gas valve. If the orange switch starts to flash again and a ticking noise is heard restart the lighting procedure. When on gas the flame should be seen through the inspection hole on the back wall of the fridge at the bottom.
These are instructions for fridges fitted around 1997- 2002
If you need help with the zig unit please let me know
Regards
John
