When we purchased our Rapido from Brownhills we discussed Satellite and they recommended the Camos Satellite which they said would work anywhere.  Since bought it (just over a year ago) it has worked only 3 times.  Does anyone else have experience of this system and have they had any problems?  Did they get the problems resolved?  All help would be appreciated.

Yes.  We have had it working with an ordinary Sky box but did try with Sky+ last time and could not get it to work.  Do you know if Sky+ works with an ordinary dish?  What type of dish did you go for?

You need two coax feeds for Sky+ and I was told that only one was available from the Camos.

You can try this at home by removing one of the dish leads at the digi box to see how it works(or doesn't)

Sky+ works with the same Sky mini dish but they fit a quad LNB so that you have 2 leads for the digi box and two more available for multi room installation.

I got the Maxview Semitronic and fitted a twin Inveco 0.3 LNB and second coax

It works really well but you have to find the satellite yourself !!

Which antenna are you using ? The footprints for some of them do not cover the whole of the UK.

You can still get up the tuning scale on Services 4,6 and see if the signal strength/quality is Ok on one of the Sky+ feeds.

I am trying to understand if you can get the dish to work on ordinary Sky rather than Sky+.

There is an Oyster that Leisure Power and others do that can be used with Sky+ as it has two coax outputs.

I had a conversation with Leisure Power about this topic and that was what they recommended 

It seems like the first one on the list would do the job but I would talk to them about the Camos first

Just out of official warranty but believe that all items should function for a reasonably period and as this hasn't trying to get Brownhills to do something which is easier said than done.  Would recommend anyone thinking of using Brownhills to avoid it!

It might be worth giving your local trading standards a ring.

They can provide templates of letters for you to send to the trader
