We have Lurcher puppy (21 months old, he's still a puppy ).
He wears a fleece harness for travelling (attached to the rock and roll bed frame using a webbed "training" lead). The lead is long enough so he can move around and get comfy but too short to get to the front seats (has a fabric bed in front of the fridge). Was wary of having the lead attached to his collar as I'd heard horror stories of neck damage in sudden stops.
When stopped we attach him to a longer lead connected to one of those screw things in the ground. It's then just a case of unclipping and re-clipping depending what's happening.
At night he sleeps at the bottom of the bed just enough room for us all).
Might be getting a rescue Greyhound soon so no idea where she will go ...
Cheers
Tony
