I'm considering a Volkswagen LT or Mercedes Sprinter van conversion. Medium wheelbase, high roof. Other makes are out due to the nature of the hobby!!

Maybe a DIY job, I've done a T4 www.vwbooks.co.uk/forsale so consider that I have the skills but I am looking for ideas from others please. The white one is the one that I did myself.

On the other hand what conversions are there out there? I've looked at the spec of La Strada but that's as far as it goes yet.

OK, I'll rephrase the question.

Why should I NOT go for a VW LT or Sprinter as a base vehicle??

There is the Westfalia Florida based on the VW LT

If you google for Westfalia Florida then go to images you will find some.

Have a look at www.sbmcc.co.uk  Quite a few people on there have used both those vehicles as the base. Good vans, spares can be a bit silly but then what spares aren't these days.

Two friends of mine are full timing in their Sprinter and that's just the standard LWB model

Still preferred the old style LT; nice straight sides, makes it easier to build the insides
