On the off chance anyone has missed me the reason is on the 3rd of this month I lost the love of my life when my darling wife passed away after a very brief illness, so have not really felt like posting but rest assured I will return.

I'm getting there slowly and keeping myself busy as best I can.
It's hard as you can imagine after 33 years together with only two night apart'
We met when we were both single after both of us had what can only be described crap former partners.
We met after I put an add in the local corner shop (Best ten p I've ever spent).
Met on 3rd of october 1990 I asked her to marry me ten yes 10 days later, we married 15th 12 1990 and am proud to say not a single argument in all the wonderful time we were together.
It will be a hard time for you for the next few months (probably worse over Christmas!) but it will get easier as time goes on. My partner and I were both widowed, so we have some idea what it is like.
You may find contact with other widowed folk helpful (there are national and local groups) if and when you feel like it, we both did.
All the best.
Condolences David; youve got past the wedding anniversary, now for Christmas. Important to accept the lives we had, and have lost; and create another new identity.
Lost my better half (on here she was Ginandtonic) in September to blood cancer. Still trying to get my head round it, really; and wondering what solo camping will be like. I keep busy making plans; have changed caravan for VW camper, and planning to get on the road in the new year.
