Hi all, just thought i'd say hello as I have been looking about on the forum recently for tent and equipment info.
I currently have a cheap tent and have camped in the past, I hope to get the family involved now. I intend to have a few weekends away locally this year and possibly have a week or 2 away next year. This makes me slightly nervous in case it all goes wrong.
I will be looking for a better tent for next year, probably an 8 man and have been looking at the kampa Sandown as a possibility.
I'm sure I will be asking for help and advice along the way.
Don`t get nervous get camping Start small and build your way up it`s more fun that way, as long as you have the basics you can always add later. Don`t hesitate to ask questions we love that sort of thingthere are many wonderful people on this forum who are more than willing to help. Enjoy your camping
Welcome to the forum and don't be afraid to ask, kampa are one of the better tent manufacturers so good choice.
We were all newbies at one stage but you already have been camping so not so much a newbie. There's great advice on this forum, I don't think I would of carried on camping if i hadn't followed advice I got from here. So enjoy
Thanks all. Main concern is that I live in n Ireland and we are hoping to spend some time around devon and Cornwall next year. We need a large tent as there's 5 of us so I'm nervous of getting there and the tent getting destroyed in a gale or the likes and we would be a long way from home with young children and nowhere to sleep.
On the plus side, it'll be a great adventure for our 3 boys.
