Just joined the site (finally) Been camping since young and then being in the Army quite use to living out in the field. I think I took it to the extreme whilst in Canada where the temperature went to a frosty -30 with the wind chill factor ! But now I have left the forces I like to take myself and the good lady to the East coast Norfolk to Hemsby. Nice and quiet and a short walk to the beach !

Hi Brettsta.
            And welcome to the forum, going of your experience of camping in Canada, camping in UK will seem almost Tropical.

Fact is you won't catch us family camping in UK, far to cold and rainy for us, although fine if in a caravan or motorhome.

We just head of to the Sun each July, a brisk 1000 mile drive down to the South of France for our fortnight campings of sheer bliss.
