Went to see Tears For Fears at Longleat on Saturday night (very good, also Roachford supporting).    I notice a new “thing” where suddenly it seems ok for people to vape - breathing out their sickly sweet vomit smelling lung spume – all over the people around them. I started to see it at the Rugby too as we got to the end of the season.   When it was all cigarettes people used to disappear to a back corner for a fag, instead now it seems their addiction (and how immediately available a quick puff of a vape is) overrides their consideration for others.

There is actually risk to this as well, vape smoke is heavier than breath and there is some evidence it transmits covid and other viruses more effectively than “normal breathing”. I just think its anti-social and inconsiderate.

Going through the till at a supermarket when the person at the till knows the person they are serving, especially when the latter hangs around at the end chatting while you are paying.     Similarly, it’s proper rude for customers to be on their phone while going through a till or ordering drinks.

Car parking on pavements – blocking the pavements for prams etc. Especially on our road which is the width that means cars still try to pass each other extremely closely rather than have to stop.

Restaurants that get the order wrong and someone in your party has to wait “a few minutes” and ultimately their food come when everyone else has finished.   If there's only 3 or 4 of us we send the whole lot back.

Now, don’t get me started on those magical dog poo trees that grow round our way………..!!!

Venues who serve a lot of drinks then folk are up and down to the toilet all the time. A theatre visit in May was spoiled for me by this.
I'm off to the Edinburgh Tattoo in Aug, they have a new sponsor, a beer company, and the beer will be available at the venue....It's difficult enough letting folk pass you there anyway.
I've not been to a concert/event with standing space, but have heard the tales about toiletting there.....

I agree with the vaping, people, including school kids, do it on the bus. Do they think no one notices?

I used to work on a local trading estate where there are a lot of manual labour, garages, skip companies etc, and I was out on my lunchtime walk once and this guy went past cycling on his mobile (phone to ear), smoking a joint, stinking and scruffy as hell.   I thought "no helmet, what a fool" then decided thats probably the least of his problems :-)

I feel that this may generational.

The actions would go into Room 101, whilst the perpetrators would be executed

1. Eating/drinking whilst walking in the street
2. Smoking/vaping in public.
3 Chewing gum
4. Tattoos
5. Cycling on pavements
6. Queue jumping

There are many others, but I am feeling forgiving and generous at the moment, so will not include them.

the new middle lane hoggers that will shoot up behind you in the middle lane whilst you are overtaking a truck, despite the outside lane being empty....sit there till you move over then carry on up the middle lane.....

despite the third lane being empty throughout the whole manoeuvre.

and who sent the memo out that to turn left, you must swing out into the other lane first. I drive a 3 tonne van and i dont have to do that?

Then there's the opposite one to that when you are driving a long vehicle such as a coach or large truck, and you do need to take a wide swing when turning left, but when you do some plonker in a car shoots up the inside despite your left indicator going. Cyclists are even worse at that particularly in cities. A miracle even more aren't killed that way.

Exactly, Colin. I hate to think how many times I have had to brake sharply when doing a left turn because some idiot has sneaked into the gap I needed. Perhaps towing a caravan should be a part of driving test for ALL drivers.

Leaving the engine running whilst parked. We sometimes have cars outside the house like this with the driver on the phone. OH usually goes out and asks if he can help......Some of the school Mum's do this, either in our Church car park (where they are not supposed to park anyway,) or on the roadside. How unhealthy that must be for their little darlings.

Once in France we stopped at a service aire to use the loo, a car was parked outside with the engine running and the driver asleep.....He was still there when we came out after doing some shopping as well. And still there after we had made and drunk a coffee.

Why is it, when I pack away electric cables in the shed - perfectly wound - every time I get them back out again theyve turned into some kind of rubiks cube version of an untangling puzzle?

We used to live across from a take-away. The number of folk that kept their engine running whilst they waited for their order. Drove me mad! The boom boom boom music ones were even worse. Was glad to move. In fact boom boom boom music at loud volume anywhere winds me up - on the beach, the local park, neighbours - as soon as the sun comes out.........so for me probably needless noise in the wrong location.
