Just found this site whilst researching a trip from Portsmouth,UK, via ferry to Caen, to Lisbon in a L1H2 minibus with a friend.
Planning on going in a couple of weeks time, July 14th 2024, and will be looking around a bit before asking questions, with the exception of cheaper ferry options, if there is such a thing.
Plan on a leisurly drive, possible night driving as it's cooler, missing all toll roads and looking around on cycles.
Regards
Andy
------------- A bad days fishing is always better than a good day at work.
Not departing from Portsmouth, but Newhaven - Dieppe is about as cheap as ferry crossings get! BUT you've got to factor in the extra road miles time/cost if your sole purpose is the Lisbon destination, if on the other hand you are looking at a 'road trip' and just wanting to see things along the way, then it may be viable.
In general, check ferry times/fares carefully, some days/times are markedly cheaper than others!
