I've just surprised myself! For someone who generally actively avoids cities, towns and people as much as I can, turns out I've been to half of the 70 cities in England, Scotland and Wales! Never been to Ireland, so not included in my list.
I may be a Londoner, born of generations of Londoners, but my 'happy place' is somewhere mostly devoid of people AND to a large extent their creations and influences, NOT CITIES! - How on earth have I been to so many cities?
Like others, I had to Google the list of Cities before I could check how many I'd been to.
London has to be listed as my first, I was born there in the NW10 area, so a 'proper' Londoner!

I'm not a great lover of cities either, I think I'm a country bumpkin at heart. I'm not a proper Londoner at all, even though where I was born is now in London. It was in Middlesex at that time, and it didn't have a postcode.
I have been to many cities too, but mainly when working. When I was on the trains I visited London and Cambridge every day, but only very briefly.

I generally avoid UK cities, although I've worked in a number and my daughters also live in different cities. The largest part of my life was spent round Portsmouth and I've been to most of the south coast cities. My work has taken me to a good number of places, though that hardly counts as visiting.
The exception was Edinburgh where I worked for two years, and I can't say that I particularly liked the place - no matter what others might say.
Now I live north of Aberdeen, but I usually only go there occasionally for the theatre or a spot of shopping.
I'm definitely a country boy and now I'm retired and back north of the border. I live in a small village with clear views of farmland to the front and back. It's a very different way of life here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere large.

I’m currently in one of the newer ones. It still makes me chuckle that the town where I grew up (Bangor, Northern Ireland) is now a city!
I’ve just looked up the list of uk cities and we have visited 40 in England, all 6 in Northern Ireland, 2 in Scotland and 3 in Wales. However, we haven’t been to any of the overseas dependencies.
