Hi all
I've sold my van - 2 years old. Does the manufacturers warranty stuff go with the van to the new owner ?

The manufacturer's warranty should remain with the van, irrespective of who owns it, as it does with cars.

When we bought our first MH it was 10 years old, it still had the handbook, the dealer’s brochure, all the leaflets for the cooker, heating etc. When we part X’d it, we passed it all on & included the document we’d drawn up for friends when they borrowed it, so the next people didn’t have to work out how to do stuff or where to find switches.
In short, pass on what you’d hope to be included in your next purchase. After all, are you just going to put all that helpful information into paper salvage or (worse) the landfill bin?

I’ve got a big box and folder with all the documents for the kit
That will be handed over
The buyer was asking if he deals with the dealer I bought it from or coachman - I’ve never had to work through a warranty issue with a van

To maintain the warranty for damp ingress, the new owner needs to transfer the warranty to their name. This can only be done if the caravan has been serviced annually in accordance with the manufacturer requirements.

I doubt very much if the other warranties for the seating, fridge, oven etc can be transferred.
