I suppose a little tenuous, as before/after concert chats with fans, but, Bernie Marsden (post Whitesnake), quite a few times, he was such a nice humble man, no 'star' airs and graces, much missed. Del Bromham (Stray), again a number of times, and another nice chap. Paul Young (in his 'hobby band' Los Pacaminos guise - they played small pub room gigs where they were very accessible to the small crowd, yet again, a really nice chap, going back to his musical roots with such enthusiasm and appreciating the engagement of the audience, you'd stand next to him and chat at the bar totally casually!).
In a far more social setting, spent a few evenings with Kiki Dee as she's a friend of friends, and met her after her gigs as well.
For the Dinosaurs who can remember TV from the early 60's, I met Muriel Young, the kids TV presenter, when I was a nipper, and can't for the life of me remember where or why, and no one left alive who'd know to jog my memory!
Back to my yoof, I was at school with Karan David (actress, married to actor/comedian Roger Kitter, and acted in many 70's TV programs).
Used to occasionally drink in the same pub as Ian Hendry (the actor), but that was in his declining years, and he'd had quite a head start on us in the 'imbibing', so sadly seemed best not to engage with!
My cousin was a world class globe trotting photographer, a contemporary of David Bailey and such like, well known for his work in the music industry from 60's to 80's, many an album cover featured his work, regularly published in the Sunday Times and Times Supplement too!
Did share a train carriage to Brighton I think, back in late 70s or 80s with a fair chunk of the Labour cabinet of the time. Probably with hindsight, but can't help but recall how accurate Spitting Image got Roy Hattersley!
Bit pushing boundaries as not me, but my Ex used to regularly bump into and chat with Boris Johnson in his Mayor of London days when both were commuting around London. Despite her vehement anti-Tory views, she actually liked him and said he properly engaged in conversation on a 1 to 1 basis, not just lip service 'pleasantries to the plebs'!
Probably met a fair few more, certainly a few motor racing drivers, but not the star struck "can I have a 'selfie/autograph'" type, so they don't necessarily flood back to mind instantly. If an effort made to engage with them, probably me thanking them for entertaining us, or to congratulate them!
