Good idea; perhaps those of us C&CC members who feel likewise about their mag should do the same? I used to enjoy the C&CC mag when I first joined 10 years ago, but there's rarely much to interest me in it now.

Being Camping and caravan club members the magazine is of little interest to us,its 95% aimed at caravans, motorhomes and state of the art tow cars.Even the letters section are all biased towards the club(when do you see any complaints published?)
We keep our club membership for one reason, the security onsite and the way the club doesn't tolerate rowdy inconsiderate campers.
I'm sure if the offered say aŁ10 a year discount on membership fees in lieu of not having the magazine monthly posted to you there would be thousands take up the offer

Unfortunately a magazine is a source of income from advertisers.
The advertisiers are interested in circulation and therefore readership, using a measure of cost per thousand readers to differentiated between media to be used or rejected.
The higher the circulation, the higher the advertising rate charged.
So to offer you a reduced subscription is counterproductive in two ways, loss of subscription revenue and loss of ad revenue.
Ours arrived in the post today. It's so depressing to read inasmuch as it makes us feel old before our time! Adverts for vitamin supplements and oxygen and most of the people pictured look to be of retirement age. We might as well subscribe to Saga!
Our observations of C&CC and the motorhome/caravan world is that it's all about having the latest kit and the magazine reflects this. There must be a huge market of used stuff out there, why don't they review it?
And has anyone tried using their website to find a campsite?! We gave up.
I don't know why they call it the camping and caravanning club magazine. There's hardly anything in there about camping or tents. Its all caravans and motor homes
