yes it is her but she was supposed to debut at xmas.

. how is DW going to rescue or stop the girlie dalek from becoming a dalek in the first place, long enough for her to become his new companion?

which is the query I posed earlier.
and birder 99... have you forgotten the McGann brother? one of the quiet best.

Ecclestone was the most perfect newbie for the return of the show, a darkness with an edge of menace.. Tennant made it his own, (personally thinking, it launched his career into orbit, after Lady Chatterley wasn't it). Matt smith took me a while... but I think I like him, bit manic and wild. BUT without being, we have the debate of a female Dr... but all we have had are white middle class males... just another thought to throw into the mix...

Wasn't the man who played Tristran in All Creatures Great and Small a Dr too or have I made that up? I cant remember his name.

Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are our favourites, although Tom Baker was my first Dr. Hated K9, used to have me hiding when it came on.

Billy Piper and Catherine Tate are our favourite companions.

I missed the first episode of this new series - need to catch up on iplayer! I remember William Hartnell - also remember having a bit of a crush on Frazer Hines as kilted Jamie, later. Ah, those were the days! <snert> The episode with Katherine Jenkins was quite a tear-jerker, I thought.

David Morrissey was a Doctor briefly, in a special, was he not?

Yep Peter Davidson. He was my favourite Dr. until David Tennant came along.

See told ya I wasn't a Who fan.

David Morrissey thought he was The Dr but his mind had picked up the Dr's memories from somewhere. His TARDIS was a hot air balloon.

Best thing about the film with Peter Cushing as the Dr was Bernard Cribins as the assistant. I can't think of any others that have been two different characters in Dr Who but I expect there may be a couple more.

TBH I had forgotten about Paul McGann and Peter Davidson as they did not have much character to them but they were probably better than Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy who made me cringe.

John Pertwee was the best but I think Matt Smith is excellent by far my favourite of the new doctors.

Agree tired of the posing Ponds.

It says everything about Dr Who fans that some of them saw the new episode a month ago yet nobody said anything to the press about the plot.

I enjoyed the first of the new series - however I do feel a lot was missing from the end - as in what happened to the nanonites that had infected Amy - or are we likely to see her still yet become a darlek?

I am guessing that the new assistant will be rescued by the Doctor in a time before she joins the Alaska so she never becomes a Darlek maybe?

Will be interesting to see how it all progresses and cannot wait for Amy Pond to be gone, she never really worked for me from the entree (although did like the little Amy :D )

Whatever became of the Dr's daughter who was last seen flying off into space? Do you remember that episode? Will they ever meet again? Love the series and simply love the music which is available on CD

My middle boy is a proper Who-hard!!

He started watching it when it was Chris Eccleston. He has several sonic screwdrivers and still carries one with him (hes now a 6ft 3in 15 year old!)

I remember a few years back when it was David Tennant and it was a cliffhanger episode we were on hol and for the first time EVER we had to take a TV so he could watch it. And at 7pm on the dot, you couldnt move for kids in our van!!! We were the only ones with a TV! And those who couldnt get in, stood outside with their heads through the windows! We didnt have a long enough cable to get it in the awning.

Ahhhhhh, David Tennent was the best. Every episode felt like you were on a roller-coaster!!!
