Dear Judy, I lost my hubby  suddenly 18 months ago due to a stroke, it all happened within 24 hours, and like you I sold the caravan, and car, as I don,t drive anymore. As the days go on you seem to carry on in disbelief, and some days are better than others. I must admit to being helped by all the kind words I received from the lovely people on here.

I so miss our camping days, thats why I still come on here to read about others holidays, and hopefully I can contribute to some questions. So what I,m saying is you don,t have to leave this forum, unless that is it is too upsetting for you.

After 18 months I have even been thinking of buying a cheap caravan, and having it put on a seasonal pitch that I can reach by train. Believe me Judy it will get easier, but it takes time. Much love, and prayers to you dear. xx

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear hubby.  I can understand that you don't feel able to be on here any more......but please just say au revoir for a little while and come back when you feel able - perhaps just reading the posts for a while before you feel able to contribute if need be?  Take your time, do what feels right for you and be gentle with yourself.

We owe you the introduction to Pin Parasol and had the pleasure in meeting you both there.

We have exchanged a few words elsewhere recently but there is nothing that I can add to the sentiments already written here.

There will be a time however, when you can look back and smile at your life together, remembering the good times and the laughs that you both shared, and the common joys that you both experienced.

May that day not be too far distant.
