I understand your frustration, but I would suggest you involve paypal in this, like I mentioned earlier, if they have send £XXXX into paypal, you could be seen to be part of this scam.

Just because there is no buy it now, doesn't mean someone can't send money into your paypal account, all they need is your email address and access to funds. They could have hacked into someone's paypal and sent the money from there.

Just as an example, if they deposited £10000 into your paypal, and you have been charged £1000 in paypal fees, if the transaction is fraudulent, and paypal get a chargeback against the other person, they will then take £10000 back out of your paypal, meaning there will be --£1000 in your paypal, which would be taken from your linked bank account/credit card, making you £1000 out of pocket.

Best way to check paypal would be to open a new instance of your web browser and goto www.paypal.co.uk don't use the link from the email that you said you received saying that the money had been transferred.

there was no link just an email saying that i should be recieving a confirmation email from paypal, but since i replied by email saying there was no buy it now button and all further emails would be blocked i have heard nothing, they were just trying it on. probaly send a false paypal email that i shoud have clicked on then roobed the account. i only use a card for paypal that has no overdraft and can only take whatever is in that account, i will notify paypal just in case.

Played it safe there! You should have logged into paypal to check, then string him along saying that you would post into him! Like some of the trailer tent and caravan scams you see on ebay.
1st class postage on a caravan! Now, would love to see postman pat trying to get that through the letterbox!!!

0033 is a none UK standard number, this is a definate scam as this is a dialing code that is used from NIGERIA and CAMEROON.They tried it on with us over a Great Dane pupwhen we responded to an advertisement on a well renowned web site.Once I told them it was c.o.d or I colleted the pup from themI heard nothing else.Tell them that  in Person and cash on collection is the only way you will deal with them.I will guarantee you will hear nothing else from them.

We agreed by tex a deal and when i asked where they lived for pick up.they said they would deliver and would i pay them with a bankers cheque.I offered cash but they declined.I just told them to pee off end of story.Do not give anybody your bank details.
