I lost one of my kidney's when i was four and i am now 54, my kidney only functions at 30% but i lead a normal life with 3 grown up children so hope that all will be well for you, hope this will make you feel more positive.
Thank you I appreciate your comments.
My sons GFR (kidney function) is 33, so finger crossed he will be fine too.
Yes waiting is hard, just want to know now.
Will let you know how we get on.
my kidney function went down to 6 told I would need a transplant. I had a biopsy and was put on steroids which got my one remaining kidney working. they said it was some prescribed drugs I was on that caused it. I was so lucky.
Finally have a diagnosis for Sam, Tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis (TINU syndrome) He has been prescribed 12 steroid tablets a day. We go back to St Thomas Hospital in 3 weeks, to check for any improvement.
bordertroot and jude23 thank you for your positive experiences.
