We didn't renew this year after many years of membership as we won't really get a chance to camp this year. And it's not worth it for the magazine as its awful and just full of adverts and things about caravans.
Might rejoin next year but will wait and see. It's good if you have children under 6 as they go free :-) I like the sites as you pay per person rather than per tent so generally works out cheaper for us than a non club site.
Seems to be a lot of long term members not renewing, us included. The club sites aren't value really and I have never been asked to show my membership on a certificated site in 6 years. If you are into going to the meets then it's worth it but otherwise don't see the point
We find it worth it as we camp outside the peak season and the members' rate plus age discount means the subscription actually saves us money.
We like their sites and find them generally well run, perhaps we've been lucky. We often use a local site at Graffham which is one of the nicest sites we've been to.
I've never been to a C&CC site which isn't clean and well maintained, and we like the fact that they seem to enforce the "quiet at night" rule.
We kept our CCC membership going because it was the only organisation which, in this country, would insure Holtkampers.
Being retired, we find that paying €11 per night (unit+ehu+2people), not having to book and cheap wine, makes the continent far cheaper, even with the £58 return ferry factored in.
We are having to stay for 2 nights in the New Forest at a non club site and it is still costing £56, nearly 3 times our normal continental rate.

OMG!! you could have almost a week in France at some municipals for that!

I couldn't agree more. They'll always allow you on their cl's. I have to be careful what I post as if it's a bit too honest, such as I posted the other day it is removed!
