I had chemo 5 years ago (for NH Lymphoma) on a 3-week cycle. I wasn't sick but did lose my appetite. All I wanted to eat was bland beige food (so lots of mash, bananas, white fish, porridge, bread and cake).
Two years ago (still being treated for cancer #1) I was told that I had breast cancer and so needed to start chemo again for that. Rats. The same thing happened though - no sickness but decreased appetite.
It's a long old haul and all I wanted to say was that you eventually come out at the other end, a bit battered but still surviving, and grateful that we live in an age where cancer is treatable and not the horrible sentence it used to be. My oncologist said that I should accept the tiredness in the first part of the cycle, but then have something to look forward to ( a trip out, a special meal, meeting friends)in the third week. his advice was sound and I have to say that I got through and it's all a distant memory now. You'll get through too, so chin up!
