Campers do it in the mud!
Hubby says we can't camp as much this yr mmm we'll see!!
camped in 2009= 27nights
Booked for 2010 = 30 nights.
Thanks all. As I said nothing was explained to us.
It was only a bit of googling that told me we would get the numbers in the post. We weren't told a thing.
We have two older cats who are not micro-chipped. We only had these two done because it was being offered at the same time as neutering. Our cats have never strayed from the garden and in fact spend most of the time indoors. But just in case, we would like to keep the details up to date

My dog was already chipped when I got her and I paid £15 to have owner's details changed to mine. I thought that was all I had to pay to be able to make changes on line, I don't remember anything about another £10.
If you've used the RSPCA, why would they want vet's details? I didn't think you could use the RSPCA if you could afford a vet.
£25 sounds a lot, was that for both chips? As someone has said, Dogs Trust do chipping and a lot of rescue centres have special offers now and then too.
I've read on another forum about animals being found and the vet or warden hasn't bothered checking the chip. My neighbour's dog was chipped but was re-chipped and re-homed within 3 days of being picked up by the warden when he strayed - he was an escapologist and the warden had picked him up a couple of times and knew perfectly well where he lived.

It was £25 for neutering and chipping. We used RSPCA and it was a third of the price our vet was charging. Although I have to say the service our vet gives would be much much better and personal.
Also turns out the little boy only had half his equipment so needed extra surgery which had it been done at the vet would have cost us a fortune. The lady from the the RSPCA implied we knew this which is why we took him there but I can honestly say I had not fully inspected his nether regions and assumed the little ball of black fluff between his legs was both dangly bits. If he had them both he would have been one big boy that is all I can say! Our own vet had not said anything either and she had checked their sex when we got them.

It was a good price. But it is that price because it is for those on very low incomes. Any higher and they risk people not getting their animals neutered.
I have no problem with the price. I was just shocked that we were not informed about an additional cost for any changes to details. Not having had any animals chipped before I did not know if this was the norm or just the company the RSPCA use.

Our microchipping costs us £10 per animal and 3 of them are registered with Petlog. We have to pay a fee if we change address, but otherwise no benefit to updating.
