I hanve been watching the ISS and the shuttle for years The NASA site - viewing opportunities - is excellent for information of seeing the 'star' crossing the sky My six year old grandson phoned me up the other night to tell me he had seen it It must have been last year when I showed it to him for the first time He was probably on his way back from Beavers and saw the moving object and bingo Who says teachers never do good things!

bit like that lockie

a tripod or stable surface is needed

and the further you get away from ambient light the more satellites you do see with the human eye most impressive

Just watched it for 6 minutes tonight sky was clear and it was pretty bright and fast 18.33 till 18.39

Yep a bit like that but far more blurr and no visible stars, i was only grabbing the camera and pointing it up,no tripod lol.

a 15 second exposure or more if you can set you camera on manual lockie and try and manual focus ( and auto focus wont do of a night )
