I've been using a 3 mifi router for a couple of years now. The big advantage is it does not need a power lead and can even be fitted to the top of a flag pole if you need to get the hight to pick up a signal. It will charge from normal phone charger, either mains or 12V car adapter, or of one of the diddy solar phone chargers. It is simple and it works, unlike me!
I can normally get away with 10gb per month even with fairly high usage such as Spotify music streaming.
I will keep this until 3 get their 4g network up and available across most or the country and then change to a 4g mifi.
