If you've bought something that is faulty, you are entitled to a refund - and it's wrong of the shop to argue this point. Your contract is with the shop and not the manufacturer too, often something that is used to try and distract you in these cases.

I hope you get your money back without any further delay, if not it may be worth going to your bank or threatening Small Claims Court.

As mentioned above, Sale of Goods Act "Of merchantable quality and fit for the purposes for which it is sold." I should think you were given a refund as well!!!

The initial problems we had with Vango Airbeams, selling them at Outdoor World, was that when they first came out, people were ignoring the guidelines on how many PSI to pump them up to, and the beams were blowing (when it gets hot and they're pumped up too much, the air expands and BANG!)

Not long after Vango put pressure valves into the pumps, and if you bought yours before these were brought out, they would send you the little pressure gauge to slot into your pump.

Glad you got your dosh back, anyhoo.

Regards-
MOSSY :-)
