I look past that dumped mattress,
the open overfull Biffa bin,
the terraced house with 20 doors
numbered 20a to 20T.
I look past the Mother feeding her kids
meals, that she does not know are filled with Norman sugar.
I look past the angry and arguing divided and conquered. I look through the towns
and into the Vikings fields.
I do not fear him or his ways,
because I see Merlin,
and I know that I was born into a most noble Island race. I know our day will come,
and the people will live free again,
regardless of race, religion,
and we will travel,
happily alongside each other,
as pilgrims.

Yes I agree, I travel approx 300miles a week around Peterborough and villages, all I see on the side of the roads are Mcd's brown bags one every couple of hundred yards, one day I kept count and it was 30 different ones in one day, KFC cartons, cans and plastic bottles strewn all over the roads and pavements.
The campsite we were at was no where near any towns or holiday areas and was favoured by French, Dutch and a few Germans there were a few Dutch kids on their hols too. We were the only English and there wasn't any mess in the toilets and showers, no teenagers hanging around the ablutions and nothing left in the sinks in the washing up areas, and best of all no parents chucking kids out of their tents at 7am in the morning to go far away from their own tents and play football outside other peoples tents, which is what you get a lot of camp-sites in the UK.
I am saying this from personal experience, and I am not saying that all parents do this either as I know they don't etc ( covering myself here I hope)
