I just use the one on the machine - click on the start button and it'll appear as one of several options in the box above. Disc Defragmenter (sometimes called Defrag in blogs). Works fine! It'll ask you which disc (C), don't bother with the Analyze button, just click on the relevant disc and then Degragment, then go & do something else for a while.

You may find it under Start>All programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter

(That's where it is on XP)

And as FionaW says, find something else to do (for a day or two)

Agree about malwarebytes (it's free) - it found lots of PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) on my pc, not a virus just slowing things down. What speeds up my machine the most is regular disc defragmenting. The info is scattered about and takes longer to find, but defragmenting moves things so they're closer together. The first time I ran it on a computer I'd been lent, it took several hours to do the first time, but it's now very much quicker. I do this weekly.

Malwarebytes is only free for a limited period (a month?) isn't it?

I installed it, then removed it again when they wanted payment!

I've used Malwarebytes for donkeys years and never been asked for payment, perhaps they don't like you.

When you install Malwarebytes do not click on free trial just install the free version. This gives you the limited version of the full paid product for free.
Do a disc clean up or just delete old temp files from Internet Options then defrag.
If your internet is slow try restarting your router.

Another file worth deleting is "Prefetch" which is no use at all. You'll find it in your Windows folder.

This the annoying bit about all free AV and other protection, they are always on at you to upgrade to the paid for version.

Agreed, but man has to live, and that's NOT free.

These programs take a bit of time to write.

Posted elsewhere but copied here in case JsParkes is monitoring;
Hi there JSParkes,Have got a similar outfit (lunar SB) and a Sportage 2 litre and will have a towbar fitted as soon as it is run-in. Can I ask what has been your experience of towing with this outfit in the UK (and abroad on longer distances)? I am also a bit puzzled as to what door mirrors I can fit that won't slip-off ot obscure the repeater flashers. I have less room than I had in my old Sorento so I wondered about how you go on about loading bearing in mind that I've got the auto trans axle which only allows for an 80kg loading on the towball. Regards your garmin problem. Solved I understand by ebay. That has given me the idea of holding onto my 'old' Garmin just in case the Kia fitted Garmin packs-up as I have a CD mount for Satnav (they are cheap and good). I could easily mount it in the Sportage above Kia's built-in satnav if faulty.
