I fitted a Mira Advance shower 8.5kw in 1999 and in 2012 when we updated the bathroom it was replaced, it never went wrong but at time in the winter I could have wished for a greater flow. It was replaced with a Mira Advance 9.8kw, which has been just as reliable and always produces sufficient very hot water.
It requires a separate circuit breaker in the box ( 45amp, I removed the supply to an immersion heater that in 40 years we have never used. And put in a larger breaker ) it also requires an separate cable directly to the shower with an isolator switch in the circuit. The cable must be 10mm.
If you go this way get the most powerful shower you can it makes all the difference between adequate and doing the job well.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Ah yes but fran , as in the case of a flange , the posh sounding one is not always the best for the job in hand , so too the spice girls , the posh one would not have been the one I'd've picked . ;-)

I went for the Essex flange myself as you can use it without disturbing your existing pipe work.

Ollie , in your case , and your requirements for two showers , the Essex flange probably is a better job , for one shower a Surrey flange is usually better , with an Essex flange you need to drill a hole through the cylinder and it relies on two dry washers pressed between the inner and outer wall of the cylinder to form a seal , in a hard water area there can be all kinds of crud and lime scale on the inner wall , making it a riskier option , whereas a Surrey flange utilises the existing tappings on the cylinder , if indeed the tappings are available , some modern cylinders don't , but they often have a secondary hot water outlet.
as most things , it really needs to be seen and surveyed to advise the options available and give a price .

Wow, thanks for all the input on this. The boiler is about 13 years old now and as far as I know a fairly conventional? The shower room is next door to the airing cupboard so a pump could go there but perhaps the problem is that you would also get pumped water to the bathroom taps and loo, would this be a problem or could the pump only be used when having a shower? Like Bill we have an emersion heater which is very rarely used so perhaps his solution for a power supply is an option. Given that the motorhome is parked at the bottom of the garden we can always use that in an emergency.

David , when you say shower room , is it a stand alone shower or over a bath ? Is there access to the shower pipework , ie does it run in a cupboard or down from a loft space , or on the surface ? It would be well handy if one of the shower walls forms the reverse side of the immersion cupboard .

Not quite as simple as that. Its the original house bathroom which was converted to a shower room when we built the extension which had a second bathroom with a bath. The layout, moving away from the airing cupboard (which contains emersion heater and central heating pump) is toilet, sink and them shower so without major work the only easier access to the pipework, in the airing cupboard, would mean using a pumped supply to all three. Unless of course the pump could be controlled so it was only used whilst taking a shower? Perhaps a ceiling pull switch?

Sounds like its a job for your plumber to take a look at David , he will then be able to see all possibilities available and give you a quote .

That would be possible David and would the easiest solution. The shower pumps could be sited in the airing cupboard and would only operate if the power was turned on to them. As a simple switched supply and spur available could be used to,power the pumps controlled by a simple pull switch in the shower.

Avoid the Mira Play.
It has a very poorly designed on off switch that malfunctions regularly letting it down badly.
