Thanks for the link. AVR3313 is looking like a no go - can't find one in the UK.
May go for the later denon which has won a what hifi award for 2015... as seen in my regular email from Richers.
If you are looking for a top class blueray that has an outstanding cd transport check out the oppo bdp 105.
I have heard it attached to about £50k worth of amp and speakers and it is truly outstanding. Book an audition and you won't be disappointed.
All well and good attached to 50k worth of gear but at that sort of level I believe I would need a truly dedicated cinema/music room with pro level accoustics. Realistically It would probably sound much less spectacular with lesser equipment. Silly money IMO but I know people spend that sort of cash but can they truly differentiate the difference in sound quality?
I phoned Richer Sounds in Leeds about a new telly. They said it wasnt in stock, but if i bought online, id get it cheaper, and quicker. I did, it was, and i did.
Cant fault them.
On the flip side, we have an Indie electrical shop down the road that sells all sorts - but ONLY if its in stock. I have never once gone in asking for a product that they could actually either sell or source for me.
The last visit was to do with said telly before approaching RS. After much researching, i said wanted a Panasonic telly with all the bells and whistles of the age. After a sharp intake of breath, i was told that Panasonic are very hard to get stock out of - as though i was asking about a 1930's washing mangle. Obviously i left empty-handed. And this wasnt the first time i've been told 'Ooo these are hard to get'. I dont know how it stays in business??

Well decision made and acted upon.........
Denon universal Bluray 3313 and decide on a Denon AVR x2200 as well - coming next week.
Tried a few other options including the Oppo mentioned above -w which I found a little wanting particularly with older CDs which I have quite a few of, although it was quite impressive with recent stuff.

Thanks for all the opinions.
The Denon is a What HiFi &Video award winner and with 4K and Atmos support, incredible value for the money. It's what I'd get if I was in the market right now. Enjoy!

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
