What a wonderful gesture :0)
Why not get a show box and wrap in Chrimbo paper and fill with lots of little items and individually wrap them - I know when I was a girl it was more fun unwrapping than what was in them.
You could get some colouring pens/pencils - a drawing pad, a hair band etc; You can get loads of pretty things from Poundland including the items I mentioned then add a little chocolate because everyone likes to recieve a bit of this.
Add a card wishing her all the best and in it could you wrap a small bottle of wine with a note saying 'pass to mummy' with love, she might appreciate that little gesture!
