Hi,
As dangerous as they were, they opened up the world to a lot of disabled servicemen who had travelled in much more dangerous machines.
As Ewen pointed out, it enabled many to get to the football/rugby game that would otherwise have been inaccessible.
For their time they must have been a godsend to those people.
Regards,
Greg

It costs a small fortune to get hand controls fitted to your car unless, you get them fitted free through Motability at the start of leasing a car.
Ive just had a quote from mobility solutions for a hand control for the brake £400 quid, they have to be joking then again mention the word "disabled"and things cost a fortune where the heck do they get the prices from? Dont they know that most disabled people are struggling as it is..ny
Any way,if you have your own car and need controls fitted this is how the yanks do it and you can fit it to any car.
As some one said i too didnt think your insurance would cover you if you fitted them. Can you imagine being in a head on with that between your legs I think the odds of you becoming a parent are nil..
If anybody out there has a disabled brake control for a Saab 95 give me a shout please..
