Doesn't have to be your doctor, if you can, shop around, as 5 years ago, when my C category came up for renewal, my doctor was asking for £75, but a practice in the next town would do it for £30 (as my employer at the time told me) not bothering to renew this year though, as since I went 'semi-retired' I've not driven a wagon for nearly a year.
