Mrs B, I keep bread bags handy although for 2 dogs it will take you a while to make a stock pile of them. Plus, they are thicker than a normal poo bag.

We used rolls of the smallest bin liners (can't remember if that's pedal or swing bin) before changing to nappy sacks. The bread bag (or any single use poly bag) is a good idea if they're available but the demand from hound (several per day) will probably exceed supply. Some Enlightened Tourist Information offices stock them, but you have to ask.

I used to buy poo bags from Pets at Home at £2 for 60 bags. Then they went up to £2.50 for 60 bags. The bags were ok but would be a bit small if you have a large dog.

I now go to Tesco and for just £1 you can get a roll of 100 large food and freezer bags...bargain!

I prefer sandwich bags as I can't stand the way poo bags all seem to be scented. My dog walking jacket smells like a cheap bordello.
