Hi GCMS I would agree with other posts. Forget the universal bars go for vehicle specific especially those made by Thule so easy and quick to fit. I have two sets for my cars both bought of Ebay as new but at a fraction of the price. I for years regularly carried canoes and sail boats using Thule bars they look good are lockable and secure. Hope you will be paddling your own canoe soon.

Still saving regarding getting the yak....

Anyway... Could i get the bars separate from one place, then get the vehicle specific feet from another if need be???

Yes GCMS. Thule have a vehicle matching service giving the model no of the feet for your vehicle also the length of bar both of which could be purchased separately. Ebay is a good place for the feet as they are easy to post. Hope you get what you need. Best regards.

I have a Peugeot 508 SW. I contacted the Roofbox company and as others have said they were extremely helpful.
We purchased Cruz bars, and feet For the Pug and also for a Vauxhall Signum.

I have Thule roof bars/fixed feet on my Ford. I also use a kayak cradle on each bar for my kayak. I bought Thule roof bars used but like new from Ebay for £60. The two cradles cost me about £40 the pair new also from Ebay and the kayak fits perfectly secure with a couple of short ratchets.

Well, I scored for some roof bars with the correct foot packs (753) off FB marketplace....

But, I've now found a fixing kit for the feet (3013, the correct ones according to Thule), but in the picture you can see that written on the box, the fixing kit is for 751 feet..???

Surely these should fit 753 foot packs..??

eBay Link....

I messaged the seller tonight, and all I got was a short 'I don't know...'.

I've done some digging myself since the reply - since they can't be bothered to check either, and the only difference between 751 and 753 feet is the height...

Can anyone possibly shed some more light on this thanks...???
