Sorry Mrs Bonce
My post was written in haste, this is a massive blow for all campsite owners, ferry companies as they are now in the process of cancelling and refunding customers money, this is going to cause severe hardship for all these businesses, as this business has now gone for part March, April, May, and possibly beyond. plus customers are cancelling for this year in fear of coronavirus, but who could blame them. I personally feel very sorry for them and the staff as many we go to are lovely people and they probably wont all financially survive this crisis.
Good health and good luck to everyone.
I also feel sorry for them, but i feel sorry for our UK campsites more. They contribute to the UK economy, EU sites dont. In a show of solidarity, it would help if the regular EU-goers (i am one) supported our own campsites for this summer at least. (i will be doing). Also, the virus is still going to be wandering about in some strength for all this year at least. So i for one would not fancy spending 8-12 hours on a ferry rubbing shoulders with many hundreds of people no-one knows the health status of...all going into the air-con as well. Then, come down with the virus on a foreign campsite. It doesnt bare thinking about. (i know theres the shuttle, but its not for me, and i would still be in France if i got the virus.)
