just thought I would post an update, we tried taking Dribbles ( that's the cats name ) on another test run today and was really pleased with how he behaved, we took him to see our son at his flat he was in the carrier for half hour there and same back and he hardly made a sound, we left the carrier uncovered so he was able to look round so don't know if that helped anyway looks like we may be making progress, thanks to those who came up with suggestions.
