Son still keeps in touch with Halfords as he now works for a high end bike store, and tells me that since Halfords started selling the £1,700 Carera Crossfuse, which uses a Bosch Crank Drive motor they have had almost zero returns.
i looked at the crossfuse and the voodoo as i`d heard good things. however it seems the faults are starting to show in them too. theres two bolts that run transverse to the chain that hold the motor together. seems noone thought to threadlock these bolts and as they start to wear loose they oval out the threads and eventually strip.
new motor time.
i`ve ordered a 1500w rear hub fat bike for a bit of fun.
