I'm very disappointed about my robin - usually he's all over my small garden like a rash. This weekend? nothing. Ditto the pair of collared doves who can usually be seen lurking around the feeder. I hope the robin hasn't been nabbed by a cat. All I've managed to list is: 8 house sparrows, 2 dunnocks, 2 blue tits, 2 blackbirds, 1 wood pigeon, 1 great tit, 1 coal tit. In the past I've seen long-tailed tits, chaffinches, goldfinches, an occasional wren, greenfinch and woodpecker but they chose not to oblige today!

What I listed above was my 'best of three' - I've spent quite a while staring out of the window this weekend!

A dull list. 8 sparrows, 3 robins, 5 blue tits, 2 coal tits, 2 great tits, 1 dunnock (though I’m sure we have a pair), 4 Siskin, 2 blackbirds, 2 goldfinch, 4 chaffinch, 1 wood pigeon, 1 magpie (but I know we have at least 3 more of them [curse words deleted]. Chris Packham thinks they can do no wrong but I hate them.)
It’s not a rich list but the birds give us pleasure to watch them. And the cat leaves them be.

Disappointing list here, too. Many regulars like the wrens, dunnocks, collared doves, siskins and goldfinches (we usually have 8 visiting) appeared and even the chaffinch numbers were well down. Results were 4 blackbirds, 4 coal tits, 7 blue tits, 3 robins, 2 great tits, 1 greater spotted woodpecker, 6 chaffinches, 3 sparrows, 1 song thrush, 1 greenfinch and 1 hoodie (that's the "tame" one we rescued from a cat). Did wonder if the sparrowhawk lurking was part of the problem.
