For David Klyne

The Hyundi ix20 is the same as a Kia Venga.

1600cc old tech engine with auto box.

Hope this helps your replacement car search.

Unsure how/if PM's work on this site.

Cheers

I appreciate that but both the Venga and ix20 are no longer made so you can now only buy secondhand which is what I think the OP had in mind?

Last week I signed up to buy a Kia Niro HEV although delivery is not until next February/March so hopefully I am now sorted.

Avoid anything French, Jap is the way to go.
Ms has just got a Nissan Note, for the size of the car it's fantastic. Loads of cubby holes, plenty of space for 4 adults comfortably, reasonable boot. Mpg for the 1.4 is great and just about enough poke!

Nissan belongs to Renault, it's French.

Enjoy the liveliness of the syntax.

Renault are part of an alliance with Nissan and Mitsubishi.
Renault don't own Nissan they currently own 43% of Nissan shares but Nissan are urging Renault to reduce their holding to 15%.
Mercedes/Nissan/Dacia use Renault engines in some models
A great many manufacturers use parts made by other manufacturers as they are part of a larger group.

Kia Soul? Small boxy shape with a high driving position. With the back seats down it’s like a little van great for big loads to the tip.

We’ve got a 2017 fully electric one. Been brilliant and totally reliable.

I always bought Toyota or Honda for Japanese reliability, but it’s Kia’s for me nowadays.
