'Penny...I asked the question on SBMCC and apparently it's easy(and cheap) enough to just get "1 day insurance"....
I put a couple of "ordinary" van details into the "get quote" bit on here and they came back as 20 odd quid!... http://www.dayinsure.com/
(..although no mention of "minibuses",so still not sure about my idea..)
EDIT: It seems that I may've got my hopes up prematurely....just had email back and it appears that the company linked to above, don't insure "minibuses",even if the seats were removed prior to purchase..because they do not cover any vehicle which has, quote "been modified after manufacture..this include performance and cosmetic"...
(...and B'Penny, I would think,strictly speaking,most campervans/motohomes would've been "modified" in some way since being "manufactured" as well.. )
