I always use Dulux eggshell for radiators, have used it for years no problem, dries quickly and easy to clean. I usually have the colour mixed to match décor of room. I also use it for woodwork as I don't like gloss finish.
I much prefer dulux emulsion to crown,thicker and better coverage.
I guess it must be the large well known paint makers that produce the own brand paint for B&Q etc, but presumably formulation is different as paint is made down to a price?

Well, quite.
Cheap paint = poor coverage and dull colours that make your house look cheap.
After nearly using 5 litres of crown to paint a small room aprox 3m x 4m on to bare walls prepared with crown base coat, I would never use it again, as have used Dulux in past in a larger room but used less paint.
