we spent a riveting week in dorset a few weeks back and the locals couldnt be nicer (being a scouser am friendly)
and pretty much say hi to everyone while out walking or exploring and got a lot of hellos back.
not to mention some beautiful scenery. think you will find some people just ignorant now a days, but to have a site full of them in one weekend i feel for you.
