Youngest DD teaches in London but came up for Father's Day. She complained the sheep in the field at the back kept her awake half the night.

These days she's more used to sirens and helicopters

You want inconsiderate? Then try the moron at the other side of the hedge from me on a site at Easter, winding up his caravan corner steadies with an impact drill at 6am - the noise was horrendous. Now THAT'S inconsiderate!!
And if anyone wants to class me as a moaner then so be it

I suppose really it all depends on different peoples' perception of time on different days. At 7.45am during the week I've already done almost an hour's work so I don't consider that to be too early, but at weekends I rarely get up before 8.30 so 7.45 would be a tad early for the sort of noise the op describes.

Towards 8 on a Saturday isnt too unreasonable i wouldnt think.

Although it couldn't be helped, working on a gas board emergency crew years back had us firing up diesel compressors at any hour you care to think of, to run road drills.

That got many a net curtain twitching!

Unbelievably, one bloke phoned in to complain at the noise, and HE was the one who called the 'smell of gas' in!

Try sleeping during the day(any day) when your nightshift!! Thousands of inconsiderate folk going about their day to day business in a rather noisy fashion while your laying there trying to kip!!!

How very dare the council pick a day when I'm nightshift to cut the grass right outside my bedroom window.....

Sometimes we just have to accept we will be disturbed by "LIFE" going on around us while we are abed..Especially in this 24/7 society we live in nowadays!!
