Enjoy life Dan! Oh! To be nineteen again.
I was stupid and got married at twenty. Too, too young.
Camping is great but I can understand its not fun on your own. Our friends always go to Meets with the C&CC and have been doing for forty odd years. Their sons went with them in their late teens and made lots of friends who they still meet up with today.
It's not easy to find like minded people when you have a slightly unusual hobby.
I'm in a similar situation to Dan, I love to camp, but on a motorbike.
Most of my friends don't ride or camp. The few I know who do own a motorbike won't camp.
It's no disrespect to my wife but quite often I would love to have another couple or two for some company.
Don't get me wrong, when on a campsite we soon start chatting and have spent many evenings in the company of strangers.
Me and my OH have been and seen some amazing places and sights, sometimes I would like to share our experiences with friends.
One day we'll bump into some like minded people and make some good friends, the same as Dan will. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy doing what we do.

Hi Dan you could see what motocross events are going on a bit further afield and ask a few motocrossers if they fancy a trip.
Thanks for the input guys, believe it or not but i haven't met/talked to any crossers around my age, just all the old boys because they're the only ones up for a chat lol
My mum also got married young, she was 21, and she says the exact same thing haha
Im sure there's people out there in the same boat but its coming across them that is unlikely, unless they go out of their way like i have done to try find others... Obviously not many do, my age anyway
Early New year resolution try talking to the crossers nearer your age if you strike up a conversation I'm sure you will have loads to talk about regarding your mutual hobby.
Started caravanning late 30s when the kids were both little but my husband loved camping under canvas and went tenting when in his teens with his mates. I on the other hand didn't fancy a tent, so we just jumped in feet first and bought a van...never looked back.
Just out of interest, does all this mean I'm now too old to go to Glastonbury? I've always fancied it but now at 56 don't think I would fit in with the young 'uns. I would even be prepared to put up with living in a tent for a few days, if necessary (still 20 something in my head).
