Hi - I purchased £96.96 amount of goods on visa debit on 25/8. Still
says processing on line. I sent many emails and tried calling but nothing.
I though was a long stock take !!!!!
How the hell do i get my money back ? Anyone any ideas?

Approach your bank and try to go via the charge back route with them

Just to let you all know yes Outdoor megastore has gone into administration and the Branch the was in Liverpool will reopen under the Go Outdoors umbrella spring 2015

Sad to read that but hopefully the Outdoor Megastore staff will find employment.

Has Go Outdoors taken over the entire operation or just the odd store, does anyone know?

Picked up on this thread late.

Really sorry to hear they have gone out of business. Purchased a number of tents from them over the years.

Luckily I purchased our most recent tent, a Kampa Croyde 4, at the end of August just before they went into adminisatation.

Always best to pay for anything that you have to wait for like on line, with a credit card and then at least you have some cover if they go bust.

The chap at my local carpet store was surprised when I said I would pay with credit card just in case. In case of what he asked.

Have seen it so many times over the years and having had Jessops close whilst my order was on the van I am doubly careful these days (I got it in the end but it was nothing any creditor would want)

Even if you only put the deposit on with a CREDIT card the whole payment is covered.

I really feel for the staff at these stores and sometimes they get little notice. Hope they all get sorted with new jobs soon.

We went today - not knowing any of this. So disappointed. Just bog standard Go Outdoors stuff.

It is sad that Megastore has gone - but the problems had apparently been there a while.
I know somebody who worked there.

Whereas I miss the fact that Megastore had a greater range of tents on display, and that the staff knew me by sight - I am glad that I have a camping shop on my doorstep.
