In the nicest possible way Francois, I think if anyone should go to the bike show then its you! You clearly have more knowledge on the subject than anyone I've ever known but I think you need to go sit on a few!! I tried so many that were good on paper but were unsuitable in so many ways in practise. In the end it came down to customer reviews and a gut feeling, otherwise I think I'd still be looking! Good luck hon.
Thanks Spamette, I am still in two minds about going, I have the chance of a Free Ticket and a Car Park Pass, so that may just be the deal maker if it comes together.
Bargain, get yourself there!! You also often get really good deals at the shows if you buy on the day, so take cash, have a brandy and get some good bartering done! If there's one thing us Northerners are good at, it's not paying full price for anything...
We're in Belgium at the moment and getting a lot of use out of our bikes. I just wish we were as geared up to cycling at home as they are here.
Again do not live locally - found another shop clearing 2015 models - this time Haibike
I understand that you need to have these ebikes serviced as otherwise warranty would be voided so I will try to buy closer to home. If someones lives in that area it might be worth having a look.

I would like to purchase 2 lightweight electrically asisisted mountain bikes to take with us in the caravan but not sure on make and where t get one
Don't want to fork out thousands !!
Advice gratefully accepted
Don't forget to count the weight into the payload of the caravan if you're carrying them inside. The average non e-bike weighs upwards of 25Kg, e-bikes can weigh a fair bit more. Over the axle stuff!

in case you find hills too steep to cycle have a look at this short Haibike ad video
I have narrowed the search down now to the "Cube Cross Hybrid Race Allroad 500"
It seems to tick all my box's Bosch Crank Drive CX 250watt 75nm Motor.
Like you say, best to try before you buy, as you need to get the correct size etc.
Very tempting though as MHW Bikes of Germany are doing the model at £1,900 with free delivery to UK, thankfully no availability until Jan 2016 so will carry on with the research for now.
