I thought about getting one, but then thought it was another gadget to find space in a cupboard for when not in use. As I already have a pressure cooker and two slow cookers I use a lot and also make soup in, (slow cooker when have remembered to prep veg etc in advance and pressure cooker when I am in a rush), I couldn`t justify the cupboard space, or outlay, on a gadget to make something I already have two others gadgets that can do the same thing.
Its such a chore making soup. All that chopping wears you out. too knackered to eat it once its cooked.
And don't even get me started about actually putting some actual water in the pot.
I bought a soup maker and only used it a couple of times. Not sure if it was faulty but I found it a wsste of time. Also it didn't make enough for the three of us. I make a big pan of soup, on the stove, and the kids will then help themselves to more as and when they want it. Cheap healthy snack for them.
my soup maker makes 1.75 litres pros for me are ingredients in turn on forget about it ready when it beeps, has reheat option that also stirs the soup so don't have to stand and stir again turn on and wait for beep. one container to cook, store and reheat easy to clean no brainer to me as for another gadget to be bought and used a few times and put away cant please everyone
Blessed are the soup makers sorry just being silly for some strange reason this thread reminded me of the cheese makers bit in the movie the life of Brian
