Quote: Only thing he said was that the breakfast is continental (not full english) but that wont be an issue and as it only cost us £15 TOTAL for the 3 of us for the 3 days, not complaining.

Bessie -- spending. If all attractiions paid for previously, how much do you recogn per day....party fo 3, no extravagant spend.
Also, are credit cards widely accepted ? We use one of the Halifax credit cards championed by Marton Lewis (had one before he made them popular). Working on spending 500zloty per day (£100) its about £40 cheaper (approx 10%) to pay via credit card than get currenecy.

That is very true, the English spoiled it for everyone.
They have a habit of doing that. Why? Surely you abroad to take in the ambience of where you are, a full English and fish supper at night does not cut it.
I cannot be the only one who thinks this way.

Hi Mikej we spent around £450 over the 4 days between 2 of us, that included the attractions, but we were with another couple and did a fair bit of drinking.
So if your tours are already paid for £300 is probably not far off the mark

I totally agree. What is the point of going abroad if you expect everything to be the same. Poland and the Baltic's didn't do Bacon and sausages and black pudding like we are used to until recently. Indeed it was only expat places where you could get a sort of rough copy of a full cooked breakfast and that catered to folk that weren't away for two weeks but sometimes two decades.

I have been to Krakow three times now...Its a brilliant place to visit. I live near Brum so use the Ryanair service direct in Krakow. I have used the same taxi company to collect me (and friends) from the airport on each visit and they are brilliant. They also do 'all' the trips to salt mines, Auschwitz etc. The best part is no time pressure so you have the use of the taxi (Merc Vito) all day if you want for the same quoted price. I shall put their website on here. They do the lot and the more you book the more you save discount wise. They also answer any questions you may have via e-mail promptly in English.
For Auschwitz plan for a day. The flowers do grow there and the birds do fly and sing above the camp. Last time I went (2015) they had a new entry method where people entered at set times in guided groups in respect of the language they spoke. So the Brits/yanks/aussies went together. The Germans went together, the Poles went together etc etc. If you can break off from the guided tour do so and explore on your own, there are loads of signs to explain what took place. In Berkenhau dont forget also the far end of the camp. Go to the monument and turn right, follow the path to where the Canada huts were and the actual shower blocks where they did wash. Very, very moving place. After three visits I still have not seen the whole camp.
I used this taxi firm.
