We have a poltergeist in our Aldi. It's recently appeared in our Tesco. It picks things off the shelf & leaves them many aisles away, so some member of staff has to return it to its place. Seems some adults think it's funny to move random things around or some parents aren't supervising their children playing while they shop (but it's usually above child level). I find it really irritating.

I think what happens is that they pick something off the shelf and then a couple of aisles away find something very similar which is either better or cheaper so they chuck the original item and grab the new one...sort of self substitution

I have arrived home on a few occasions to find something in my shopping that I didn't actually put in the trolley myself and didn't notice it at the checkout. Either somebody mistook my trolley for theirs and placed an item in it, or the supermarkets have people going round putting stuff in people's trolleys and hope they don't notice.

We try and avoid our nearest big Tesco as we hate the fuel station there. We prefer to shop in another town further away where the staff are lovely, the clientele are more genteel, the fuel staion is wide and quiet, an altogether better shopping experience in a more affluent area. So we've just heard that in the new year they are being changed to a Jacks store. I doubt we'll be shopping there after that, we prefer to have a bit more choice. Rawtenstall for the locals on here.

We once left a bottle of vodka in our trolley (we take it to the car too), some kind person handed it in to customer services! This was Sainsbury's, our nearest large supermarket.

A few years ago I drove to Aberystwyth (about an hour away) and while there bought a few things from Lidl which I put in the car boot. When I got home I went to get the things from the boot and noticed a bag of shopping on the back seat of the car! I had not locked the car while in Lidl. I guess someone with a car the same as mine had put it there thinking it was their car and then gone to another shop.

All this talk of shopping in supermarkets, queues, kids, veg fiddling etc I find so common and is making me quite nauseous! 🤮🤮

One gets one groceries delivered by Waitrose, I do find going shopping so common and a complete waste of ones precious time. 😀👍

Edit: Can we please close this topic.......It is bringing on one of my migraines!😳

Edit (2) Good heavens, someone has mentioned Lidl! 😳😳😳🤮🤮

I have heard of Waitrose, they keep the riffraff out of Harrods, but what is Lidl?
