Try some of the East Coast places, where a load of Londoners have second homes - apparently they were as busy as they are in the height of Summer, with all leaving London to flee to their out of town residence! Local hospitals are 'cottage' ones.
Hope they all see sense and b****r off home.

gedsjeep,

just stay at home. If you get ill, or break down, you are adding to the problem.

Just read what welshwom wrote.

Oh Dear You do realise why gedsjeep is driving through Wales and a whole lot of other places. It's to do with his job delivering groceries that people order on line. A valuable service in these troubled times!

I posted this to explain that due to the ignorant people that do not realise one person can infect a 1000 with corvid, it was a serious post to save anyone going to all the trouble of travelling into their rural retreat, but the following have turned it into what could be racist remarks Mick S, Colin21, ST110, Mike 3003, Bessie500. and before any of you say I am a jealous welsh person I am from Manchester,   the welsh people are very welcoming and helpful where I lived in Manchester ( stockport) the neighbours rarely spoke, now it is a serious situation yet people are treating it as a holiday, the reason why you shouldn't travel, into Gwynedd is because there is only one hospital that could treat the corvid, and that only has 11 beds, we do have cases appearing each day ( my niece is a paramedic) so if you are taken ill while on your holiday do you think youll get treated quickly? on sky news tonight there was a healthy lad of 39 who went to a football match and caught the virus so think on it could be you next. as I told you all caravan/camping sites are closed as from today, the national parks are closing all footpaths carparks, and we'll soon be on lockdown. SO PLEASE STAY AT HOME YOUR.   LOCAL HOSPITAL WILL ACCOUNT FOR HOW MANY PATIENTS LIVE IN THEIR AREA AND CAN accommodate anyone that is ill. please no more jokes.

I would be genuinely grateful if you could point out what could be a racist remark from me please. If you have interpreted anything I have said as in any way racist, then I most humbly apologise, it was certainly not my intention.

However I am struggling to see what is racist, I actual wholeheartedly agree with you.

Thank you.

I can't see what I've said that could be interpreted as racist either, it certainly wasn't intended that way.

I totally agree with Mike. People are being irresponsible going into rural areas possibly spreading the virus. We should all stay at home and stay safe.

Best Regards,
Colin

thank you gentlemen!

see, thats just it. people jump to conclusions all too quickly.

i admit to dangling the hook somewhat.....

but not everyone can stay at home. i saw loads of cars tonight. who`s to say they werent nurses on the way to work.? i did see quite a lot of women out jogging, they must normally be in the gym. some of the country lanes had solitary walkers on too. by 7pm the roads were dead. very few people out and about. the missis said the station car park opposite us was empty at 5pm too.

my daughter got a small amount of abuse off a pensioner today who was sitting on the same bus. he was quite rude and demanded to know why she was out and about putting old people at risk. she told him she was a key worker and needed to go to work. still wasnt good enough. just because you work in a shop doesnt make you important was one of the things he said to her.

that was when she stood up and he saw the name of her company and underneath the words

"independent funeral directors"

he shut up then.

In that case, I apologise.
